After three years of litigation, two LGBTIQA+ drag queens had their case against me dismissed in August 2023.
They have now appealed and there could be more years of litigation ahead. A hearing to decide whether an appeal is heard will not happen until well into 2025. The process is the punishment.
My original "crime" was to write a blog about the harms of having LGBTIQA+ drag queens read to children in public libraries.
Instead of debating me, they are trying to cancel me using flawed anti-discrimination laws. No Australian should have to go through this.
Legal action is easy for rainbow political activists. They are backed by the taxpayer-funded LGBTI Legal Service which in recent years received more than $400,000 from Queensland taxpayers, according to page 12 of its annual report.
My lawyers are from the not-for-profit legal firm, Human Rights Law Alliance, a firm that focuses on freedom cases like mine. HRLA receives no taxpayers’ money. My case has already cost a substantial amount and has been funded thanks to generous fellow citizens like you.
Your gift today will ensure I have the best legal defence possible. All money raised will go to legal fees and costs related to the litigation with any excess funds donated to HRLA to help with other cases like mine (sadly there are plenty).
But this case is not about me. If my free speech is cancelled, yours is too.
Thank you for your support.
