Anyone who knows me will know that I am a BIG Eric Metaxas fan.
The New York Times best-selling author and radio host is one of my heroes. His books have sustained me these past few years, especially his biogrpahy of the German Christian martyr of World War II, Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
His biography on Wilberforce originally got me hooked but Miracles, Seven Men, Seven Women, If You Can Keep It and most recently Luther have all inspired me.
Whenever I’m on a road trip I stream his radio program, The Eric Metaxas Show, and often order the books of other authors he recommends.
When my friend Josh Townsend bailed Eric up at a conference in Washington DC and sent me this, I was blown away and felt very humbled.
I hope you don’t think me posting this is self-serving. But Eric gets what is going on in my heart for our nation and for this world because it is also how his heart beats.
He articulates the current crisis and what we need to do about it so well. And he does so with good humour because he has hope and lives from a well-spring called the joy of the Lord.
