US passports will now cater for the genderfluid, but many Australians would be surprised that Australia got there first.
Overnight the Biden Administration announced that people could mark X instead of male or female.
A male wanting to identify as a female would also be allowed to mark F for their gender, and vice versa.
Confused? Not as confused as future air crash investigators.
No sex change operation is required, just a feeling that you are no longer your biological gender.
This could all become quite inconvenient in the event bodies retrieved from a crash were tested for DNA which does not lie, and then cross-checked with passport records.
“We will be updating our procedures to allow applicants to self-select their gender as ‘M’ or ‘F’ and will no longer require medical certification if an applicant’s self-selected gender does not match the gender on their other citizenship or identity document,” said US Secretary of State Jeremy Blinken.
“I want to reiterate, on the occasion of this passport issuance, the Department of State’s commitment to promoting the freedom, dignity, and equality of all people – including LGBTQI+ persons,” said State department spokesman Ned Price.
Australians rolling their eyes at the woke Whitehouse should jump on the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website. Here’s what you’ll find.
Do Australian passports recognise the circumstances of sex and gender diverse Australians?
Yes. We issue passports to sex and gender diverse applicants.
Consistent with the Australian Government Guidelines on the Recognition of Sex and Gender(link is external), we print holders’ gender in the ‘Sex’ field of Australian passports. The gender markers we use are: M (male), F (female) and X (non-binary/indeterminate/intersex/unspecified/other).
You don’t have to undergo surgery to get a passport in your preferred gender.
Australia’s passports were changed in July 2013, in the dying days of the Gillard/Rudd Government.
In eight years, the Morrison Government has failed to restore biological reality.
No wonder it is all but impossible to get genderfluid ideology out of our schools.
